Bonfire Night 2026: Fireworks in St Ives and Hayle
Wrap up warm and make an evening of Bonfire Night during your autumn stay in Cornwall. Two local fireworks events offer a chance to enjoy the celebrations around St Ives Bay this November, with a beach setting in St Ives and a community evening here in Hayle.
St Ives fireworks: Thursday 5 November
Porthminster Beach is the venue for the St Ives fireworks event organised by St Ives Football Club. The Visit St Ives listing gives an event time of 5.30pm to 8pm on Thursday 5 November 2026.
That is the overall event window, so check the latest announcement for the precise display time and any entry arrangements. Allow time to arrive before the celebrations and plan your journey home in advance.

Hayle Firework Extravaganza: Saturday 7 November
Closer to The Penellen, Hayle Cricket Club has announced its Firework Extravaganza for Saturday 7 November 2026. Gates open at 6pm, with the display expected between 8pm and 8.15pm.
The club lists food stalls, bars and family entertainment, and asks visitors to bring cash for donations to help support the event.
Parking at the club is limited. Vehicle access is from the Phillack end, while the North Quay access road will be open to pedestrians only for the evening. Check the club's current parking guidance before setting off and keep neighbouring driveways clear.

Plan a cosy coastal break
Bring warm layers and comfortable footwear, and check for weather-related updates on the day. If you are travelling by public transport, look up the return service as well as the outward journey.
A stay at The Penellen in Hayle gives you time to enjoy the coast as well as the evening celebrations. Spend the daylight hours exploring St Ives Bay, then head out for a memorable November night. Discover accommodation at The Penellen.
