The Bluff Inn in Hayle Reopens as Wetherspoons Venue
The well-known Bluff Inn in Hayle is set to reopen its doors following a major transformation, becoming part of the popular J D Wetherspoon chain.
Located at Riviere Sands Holiday Park, the venue has undergone refurbishment as part of a wider partnership between holiday park operator Haven and Wetherspoon, aimed at enhancing on-site facilities for visitors. The reopening marks a significant investment in the area’s hospitality offering.
The pub, which retains its original name “The Bluff”, draws inspiration from its clifftop position overlooking the Cornish coastline—making it one of the more scenic additions to the Wetherspoon portfolio.
Opening in Time for the Holiday Season
The newly revamped venue officially opened in early April 2026, just ahead of the busy Easter period, positioning it as a key attraction for holidaymakers visiting the park and surrounding Hayle area.
The reopening forms part of a broader £9 million investment programme, which includes several new Wetherspoon pubs across Haven holiday parks in the UK.
What Visitors Can Expect
Guests can expect the familiar Wetherspoon experience, including:
- Affordable food and drink menus
- A wide range of beers, ales, and cocktails
- Family-friendly dining options
- Modernised interiors with increased seating capacity
The venue will operate daily, serving breakfast through to evening meals, catering to both holiday park guests and local residents.
Boost for Local Tourism
The reopening is expected to provide a boost to the local economy, attracting more visitors to Hayle and supporting Cornwall’s thriving tourism sector. With millions of holidaymakers visiting Haven parks each year, the addition of a recognised brand like Wetherspoon is anticipated to increase footfall and enhance the overall visitor experience.
