Leaves, Pumpkins and Family Fun at Trengwainton This Half Term

Looking for a relaxed family outing during your autumn holiday in Cornwall? Trengwainton Garden near Penzance has a lovely seasonal programme coming up, with half-term activities on selected dates from 18 October to 1 November 2026.

Children can gather fallen leaves to create bunting, try autumn-themed games and follow a sensory trail through the garden. There are also recipe boards to explore in the pumpkin patch, with Trengwainton-grown pumpkins available to buy and take home.

It sounds like a cheerful way to slow down and enjoy the season together. Pack an extra layer and comfortable shoes, then make time for the little discoveries that turn a garden visit into a holiday memory.

The activities do not need advance booking and are included with normal garden admission. The published event dates are 18–22 and 25–29 October, plus 1 November, from 10am to 5pm. Check the National Trust page for admission details and any updates before travelling.

A stay with Golds Cornish Properties in Hayle gives you a coastal base for days out across West Cornwall, followed by a comfortable evening back at your holiday property.
